Greening the Desert

They laughed at him and said it couldn't be done. Nothing could be grown in that salt laden dustbowl. But Geoff and Sindhu Lawton had other ideas. They travel the world teaching others how to repair trashed environments that are beyond hope of becoming productive. In this story, Geoff talks about re-greening the deserts of Jordan. By applying the principles of permaculture, they managed to salvage a heavily salted environment and turn it into a green oasis.Geoff and Sindhu live and teach at their farm near The Channon, a small community not far from Lismore. Geoff boasts that despite not having a police station or church, The Channon has some of the most tolerant and friendly people in Australia.

Everything You See With Your Eyes is Temporary.

Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Mar 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Luk 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised, as some think. Instead, he is patient with you, because he does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins.
10 But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that Day the heavens will disappear with a shrill noise, the heavenly bodies will burn up and be destroyed, and the earth with everything in it will vanish.
11 Since all these things will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people should you be? Your lives should be holy and dedicated to God,
12 as you wait for the Day of God and do your best to make it come soon---the Day when the heavens will burn up and be destroyed, and the heavenly bodies will be melted by the heat.
13 But we wait for what God has promised: new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness will be at home.
14 And so, my friends, as you wait for that Day, do your best to be pure and faultless in God's sight and to be at peace with him.
15 Look on our Lord's patience as the opportunity he is giving you to be saved, just as our dear friend Paul wrote to you, using the wisdom that God gave him.

2Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Rom 3:3 But what if some of them were not faithful? Does this mean that God will not be faithful?
Rom 3:4 Certainly not! God must be true, even though all human beings are liars.

When I'm Feeling Sad, or Down

When I'm Feeling Sad, or Down
Looking to JESUS, My LORD, always helps.

♪♥ A BEAUTIFUL LIFE ♪♥

♪♥ BURY THY SORROW♪♥

JESUS loves me.

(so, who cares what anybody else feels, or thinks about me)

JESUS is praying for me.

The BIBLE says HE always lives to pray for us.

(GOD surely listens to & answers JESUS's prayers!.....

It MUST be going to be alright!)

Everything IS going to be o.k.

GOD has always taken care of us.

HE always will.

So, I messed up AGAIN... sigh. JESUS can, WILL help me to make things right.

HE will forgive me, and help me to make things right again, HE will wash up the

mess, and FIX ME so I won't keep doing the same dumb things forever.

How can HE still love me? Still forgive me? Still WANT me?

How can I DO that to HIM again?

***JESUS, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.***

Everything is going to be just fine.

THANK YOU, LORD!***
